I’m sitting in a lovely coffee shop, covered in croissant crumbs, looking out the window where the sun is shining and it has been hailing on and off all morning. I’ve been up since about 5 and am only now having my first coffee of the day. Sorry, Brits, tea does not cut it.
I have to race off to a meeting so this will not be a long post, but I’m happy and healthy, a beautiful Dutch lady complimented me on my wallet, and everyone seems surprised to find out how “old” I am. All is well!
More soon, xoxo
Happy 2015! Apologies for the silence over the last few weeks. Christmas came and went much too quickly in a cloud of family and work. Most of my time since then has been spent packing and hanging out with the people I will miss the most. This is one of the first times I’ve sat down to use my brand new laptop for something other than streaming Friends on Netflix (Ross, I love you bud, but you’ve got to get a handle on your jealousy…).
16 days. 16 days!!! It still doesn’t quite seem real, but I’m much less stressed than I was over the last few months. I have an ever-growing to-do list going, but I’ve been checking things off at a steady pace and I think I have it relatively under control. Nothing like leaving the country to force a girl to finally take things to the dry cleaner.
I’m not sure what else to write about right now; it all feels like a waiting game and the interesting part hasn’t started yet. I can tell you that my apartment is torn apart and half in boxes, but it’s getting there. My kitchen and bathroom have never looked better or made more sense. How have I gone this long without a full length mirror? I have my wonderful mama to thank for that. Organization and design run through her blood. Hire her, she’s the best.
Other than that, I’m not sure what to say, and so I will leave you with this song, which is not at all related to anything, but I can’t stop listening to it. Enjoy!
